It was very tricky drive today. Lots of curves and steep climbs and decents. Fortunately, not lots of traffic so I could play a bit. One thing we have found here that surprises us - we love the coffee. I haven't bothered with coffee for at least 2 years as I got bored with it and it was tasteless. It is marvellous here. They really care about making a good cup. I usually order a "flat white" which I think is a cafe au lait but I guess they are francophobic here. I was quite taken aback by the deforestation and in this area they are trying to create more area for vineyards. Quite a gamble I think. There is a drought here and sheep and dairy are taking a terrible hit. Although we are here on holiday, I don't wish for no rain. They need it. The rivers barely run and the creeks are bone dry.
