Kaimokebu peninsula seal colony

Had a fabulous day. Did a great walk up and along the cliffs here over looking the ocean and down to the shore below. The tide was out so the seals were pretty far away. We walked a long way and found a spot where some were sunning closer to the cliffs. We decended and had a great opportunity to see cormorants, oyster catchers and the seals. Had to traverse a tough pebble beach for awile, but most was clay. It appears that NZ is mostly clay.
